What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write this book?
The book grew out of years of working with business leaders and entrepreneurs who were overwhelmed by information overload. I saw highly competent leaders struggle with competing priorities, uncertainty, and mental noise that impeded their ability to think clearly and exercise sound judgment. I wanted to write a book that would help them regain perspective, improve judgment, and make better decisions when it matters most.
What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I enjoy reading books on business, marketing, and psychology.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Right now, I’m referencing a book on copywriting frameworks. I’m fascinated by how the right structure and language can make an idea clearer, more compelling, and memorable.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
I especially enjoyed creating the picture quotes throughout the book. They gave me a way to distill larger ideas into a visual experience that would cause the reader to pause, reflect, and try on a fresh perspective.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I like to write with instrumental music in the background. It helps me find a rhythm and opens the door to inspiration.
Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?
I live by five principles: commitment, dedication, sincerity, regularity, and punctuality. They guide how I work, lead, and show up in life.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
What I want the reader to walk away with is a memorable idea they can immediately apply that will change something in their world in a meaningful way.
