What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Down the Well?

I wanted to create an immersive experience where the reader questions whether the story is true.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I almost exclusively read non-fiction and generally don’t enjoy fiction outside of the classics. However, I write horror/thriller.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

John Adams by David McCullough.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

Likely the climax, but to explain that would spoil it.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I write in bed.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Sympathetic people can still do terrible things.
