Interview with Carmen Falcone, author of Good Girl Gone Bad

16 Apr 2018

What can you tell us about your new release, Good Girl Gone Bad?

Good Girl Gone Bad is an intense, erotic romance about two people who find love when they weren’t expecting it. It’s a fun page-turner.

What or who inspired you to become an author?

I’ve always enjoyed writing, since I was a little girl. It’s hard to remember a specific event or person who inspired me. It’s just what I was meant to be.

Say you’re the host of a literary talk show. Who would be your first guest? What would you want to ask?

My first guest would be Ryan Gosling. I would first ask questions about his wonderful independent movies I can’t get enough of. Then, I’d make the interview really awkward by shamelessly flirting with him. Sigh.

What books are currently on your night stand?

You mean on my kindle? 😉 A raunchy cowboy series by Lorelei James. Love her!

What’s your favorite thing about writing?

To be able to step into someone else’s shoes.

What is a typical day like for you?

I wake up, take kids to school, come back to my home office or go to a coffee shop for a few hours. I try to get emailing, marketing stuff, social media out of the way then get some writing done. After I’m done with my writing goal for the day (it varies, depending on deadlines), I pick up the kids from school. During the day, there’s usually a lot of texting my hubby, making to-do lists that will never get done and browsing celebrity gossip websites.

What scene in Good Girl Gone Bad was your favorite to write?

I loved when Marco takes Lily to, er, a different type of strip club. It’s a very hot scene, for sure, but it’s fun because she chooses to be herself, and that’s what so endearing about her. To know more, you have to read the book.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Do your best. I love to try my hardest when I’m really focused on reaching a goal ( unless, of course, that goal is dieting or working out, but let’s not get into that).
