What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Dissonance Volume I: Reality?

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
Dystopian, fiction, fantasy
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
“Champion” by Marie Lu, “Rebel” by Marie Lu, “The Expanse” by James S.A. Corey, and The Immortal Ones series by Shade Owens
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
“Lojack” and “Holy Ground”. Both were incredibly intense and compelling, and my fingers were flying off the keyboards!
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I do celebrate when I’m done with a book, with some of my favorite snack foods and treats. But ordinarily I write either during the day while I’m working (I work from home in media production) or at night after I’ve put the kiddos to bed, with a laptop in a recliner.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
“Your focus determines your reality”, and “Someone’s endorsement of you – or lack thereof – has very little to do with your trajectory.”
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Be willing to receive: whatever it is, be willing to receive it.
