What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write this book?
Long before BREAK MY HEART put me inside the world of Formula One, I had the chance to see racing from a perspective most fans never get to experience.
Growing up near Lime Rock Park, I watched drivers like Scott Sharp and Walter Payton race for Newman/Sharp Racing. But what really captured my attention wasn't only what happened on the track—it was everything happening behind the scenes.
One of my close friends had a father who worked as an engineer for the Newman/Sharp team, which meant I got a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes that fascinated me. Years later, that experience found its way into BREAK MY HEART.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I love reading anything, but I love romantic comedy in any form. I love laughing until I cry. Plus, anything Nora.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
Stolen in Death, JD Robb. Plus a few poetry books.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
There’s a scene at the famous Fontainebleau Hotel ballroom in Vegas. From both Christin and Leo’s POVs, it really shows their personalities.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I will play the same song over and over again for an entire mood.
Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?
Funny, it’s from the song “Hall of Fame.” In fact, it’s one of my tattoos. “You could walk straight through hell with a smile.”
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Love isn’t a race. Falling in love is about what happens after you cross the finish line.
