What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Mountain of Dragons and Sacrifice?
This story came from the idea: What if the monster in the story didn’t actually want the maiden sacrifice? The rest of the book came from there.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I love romantic fantasy / fantasy romance! Especially if the books have a good dose of action and humor besides the romance.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
The Greybrow Brothers series by Shari Tapscott.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
The scene where the dragon’s steward chews him out for having a messy desk.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I love to burn candles while I write. I’ll often pick 2-3 candles with scents that make me think of a book’s world and characters, then I’ll rotate through them while writing each particular book.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Perhaps it is a bit cliche, but the truth will set you free.
