Interview with Sophie Barnes, author of More Than A Rogue

24 Jun 2019

What can you tell us about your new release, More Than A Rogue?

It’s a story of personal growth and overcoming insecurities, reaching for one’s dreams and realizing that it’s okay for goals to change. It’s also about learning to trust again and choosing happiness over expectations.

What books are currently on your night stand?

Someone to Hold by Mary Balogh

What advice would you give your teenage self?

Don’t worry so much about what other people think of you and just be yourself.

If you had an extra hour each day, how would you spend it?

I would love to have more time for reading.

What makes your world go round? Why does it bring you joy?

My family. They are everything to me. When I worry things aren’t working out as well as I want with my writing, they’re always ready to offer encouragement and support.

What scene in More Than A Rogue was your favorite to write?

I think the beginning where Emily and Griffin argue in the garden right after he catches her with Mr. Bale. It’s the conversation leading up to the kiss that puts the rest of the story in motion. I had a lot of fun with that scene.
