If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of The Runaway (Hideaway Springs Series Book 1), what would they be?
“Broken and Beautiful” by Kelly Clarkson and “Kings and Queens” by Ava Max.
What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I personally enjoy reading Billionaire and Sports Romances but occasionally, I’ll pick up a book or series about witches.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
I’m hoping to read Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros this summer once my writing schedule winds down a bit.
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
It’s hard to pick a favorite but I think the scene where Pepper freezes on the ice during her performance and goes to a dark place in her head. Until a puck hits her skate and brings her back to the present. It draws the invisible line she needs to stay focused and the line leads her back to him.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
It’s not very productive for my writing but I do love to have a bowl of sunflower seeds with me (with shells). It gets messy but I can’t function without it, especially when I need to take a moment to think. It gives me something to do.
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
A little competition is healthy, as long as it’s with yourself. Set goals to be ahead of where you were last year. It’s how I measure my success.
