Interview with Patricia Krisztina & Mihai Petean, Authors of The Feathers of Adam (Adam’s Legacies Book 1)

12 Nov 2021

If you were in an elevator with a stranger and had 1 minute or less to describe The Feathers of Adam before the doors opened, what description would you give?

Did you see the TV shows Hannibal and Euphoria? If you liked them, read The Feathers of Adam. It’s a disturbing, in-your-face dark book, with an intense focus on the characters’ inner lives.

What’s your favorite scene from your new release, The Feathers of Adam?

Patricia: For me, it’s the scene where you find out who Adam is.

Mihai: My favorite scenes contain major spoilers, but the one I can describe without revealing too much is the one where Vallery discovers what the best-kept secret in the world is.

What’s your favorite thing about writing? What’s your least favorite thing about it?

Patricia: My two favorite things about writing are discovering new characters and the feeling of freedom that comes with writing. My least favorite is editing.

Mihai: My favorite thing about writing is that moment when the story flows like it’s writing itself and something surprising (even to you, who’s writing it) happens. My least favorite is also editing.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Patricia: I like to read everything that sparks interest in me, whether it’s fiction or non-fiction. I read a lot of horror, thriller, philosophy, psychology, poetry, medical books. My favorite genre to write is a combination of what I like reading.

Mihai: My favorite genre to read is sci-fi, followed closely by horror and fantasy, and in my case, they’re the same as my favorite genres to write.

Which books would we be surprised to find on your shelves?

Patricia: “Quantum: Einstein, Bohr, and the Great Debate about the Nature of Reality” by Manjit Kumar

Mihai: “God Hates us All,” by Hank Moody (from Californication)

If you had to pick one place to vacation for the rest of your life, where would you choose?

Patricia: New Zealand (somewhere remote), or North-Western Europe.

Mihai: Middle of the woods in a sturdy modern cabin with good internet.

What will your next adventure or writing project be?

We’re still working on finishing the second volume of Adam’s Legacies, “The Shadows of Adam,” but after that, we have a few potential projects in mind: a third book in the #REDACTED# Journals series, Mihai is thinking about continuing working on “Dayo,” a sci-fi book where the Leader of Humanity has decided to kill a percentage of the population of Earth after Nexus, Humanity’s AI advises her to do so, and Patricia is thinking about writing “Dhalia,” a book about a young woman who in her journey to understand God starts killing people.

Patricia Krisztina & Mihai Petean are the authors of the new book The Feathers of Adam.
