What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Powers of the Zodiac Boxset?

These books are set in the same world as other urban fantasies that the three of us have written together. We call it the Mythverse. We started with a young adult academy series and then from there we moved onto adult urban fantasy – Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services. Paige, the main character in those books, is in her 30s. With the Zodiac books, we wanted to write about midlife women because the three of us are in that age group and we knew we could really dig into 40 something characters and have a lot of fun with it.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Powers of the Zodiac Boxset, what would they be?

Well, this is a book about three women who all find out that their husband was cheating on them. So they would totally have fun doing karaoke to Your Cheating Heart.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Oh wow, between the three of us, we read everything. But for writing, we just love urban fantasy with a whole lot of romance included.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

For Kate, she’s been reading a lot of Ilona Andrews lately. Marley Lynn has been digging into Joe Hill. And Demitria is reading middle grade horror books.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

We love to write the scenes where our hero and heroine first meet. I don’t know if they would qualify as meet-cutes. In fact, when Crystal (the heroine of the 3rd book) first sees her love interest, he’s totally naked.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

Kate swears by chapstick and tissues (for her constantly runny nose). Marley Lynn is a cat lady. And Demitria has 3 adorable doggos.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Umm…”There’s no such thing as writer’s block”? Does that count?

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Yes! Pick up the Down & Dirty Supernatural Cleaning Services. It’s a 7 book series and readers love it!
