What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Wild Heart (The Hearts of Sawyers Bend Book 6)?

An unexpectedly severe snowstorm in the mountains where I live inspired me to ask…what if?

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

All kinds of romance, as well as fantasy and crime procedurals.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Nalini Singh’s Archangel’s Lineage.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The first action scene – I can’t be more specific because…spoilers 🙂

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I usually dictate my first draft and most of the time I do it walking. My storytelling brain works better when I’m moving.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Examine your basic premise. (If things aren’t working out or don’t make sense, go back to my most basic conception of the situation and try to see it from a different perspective. It’s useful in all sorts of situations, in writing and in life.)

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Most of all, I want them to remember that they had fun.
