Interview with Carian Cole, author of Tied

13 Jul 2017

What can you tell us about your new release, Tied?

It’s a story that is very close to my heart, about two damaged people finding love and acceptance.

What or who inspired you to become an author?

My mother – she always loved to read and she started me reading at a very young age. Once I started reading, I started writing and I never stopped.

What’s on your top 5 list for the best books you’ve ever read?

The top five books which have stayed with me would be On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves, Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts, Arsen by Mia Asher, The Glass Lake by Maeve Binchy, and Hummingbird by LaVyrle Spencer.

What fictional literary world would you most like to visit?

I love the towns that Maeve Binchy wrote about.

What’s on your writing desk?

My planner, a cat, my favorite pens, and little gifts from my hubby that make me smile.

What makes your world go round? Why does it bring you joy?

Making others happy – there is no other feeling like it.

What scene in Tied was your favorite to write?

The scene where Ty hold Holly’s finger with his.

Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?

Always believe in your dreams.
