What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Darcy?

It was time. I Had aced the story of Lady Susan as a young girl and re-interpreted EMMA. Pride and Prejudice had become the elephant in the room!!!

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Darcy, what would they be?

Elton John’s ‘I’m still standing’!

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I’ll read anything! And have won awards in contemporary, action/adventure, and historical fiction.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Just finished Demon Copperhead!!! Stunning!!! A masterpiece!!!

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

Hard to say.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

Dogs on lap. Two long-haired mini-dachshund brothers compete for that!!!

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Life is short.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

“That was great. Let’s check out the other standalones in the same series!”
