Interview with Adriana Locke, author of Cross

29 May 2018

What can you tell us about your new release, Cross?

Cross is a standalone novella, although technically a part of the Gibson Boys Series. It’s a second chance romance that has moments to hit the heart and others to make readers laugh. It’s a fun mix.

What or who inspired you to become an author?

My husband. He believed in me before anyone else. I picked up a pen, er, put fingers to the keyboard because of his insistence that I had a story and should tell it. His support has been unwavering.

What’s on your top 5 list for the best books you’ve ever read?

Oh, now that’s an impossible question! LOL And one I’ll skip. Next, please!

If you had an extra hour each day, how would you spend it?

Sleeping. I have four sons, ages ranging from 16 to 9, and we’re in the middle of baseball season here. Between couriering them around and writing words, I need more sleep. (Can we make this happen?)

What’s your favorite thing about writing?

Creating happiness. I love the idea of taking two “people” and creating a story where they fall madly in love and stay that way for all of time.

If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would you choose and why?

One person? Thomas Jefferson and John Kennedy would be top choices because I’m a history nut. I’d also want my daddy because I miss him. Then again, my mind goes to Julian Edelman … 😉

What scene in Cross was your favorite to write?

The last scene. The happily-ever-after. The moment where they both realize they can’t live without the other and they stop everything to find the other. *sighs*
