Interview with Laura Lee, author of Beautifully Broken

What can you tell us about your new release, Beautifully Broken?

Beautifully Broken is a forbidden romance packed with emotion, lively dialog, and vivid description. Kat Kennedy is a young woman who has suffered so much in her life and Gavin Cooper is the man who helps put her back together.

What's rocking your world this month?

I haven’t been able to read much lately since I’m actively writing but I recently devoured Turbulence by Whitney G and Playboy Pilot by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. Both books were amazing!

Which books would we be surprised to find on your shelves?

Orphan X, Ready Player One, American Sniper, The Shining, etc. Although I primarily read romance, I do enjoy something intense on occasion.

If you had an extra hour each day, how would you spend it?

With my kids or napping.

What's your favorite literary couple?

Mac and Barrons from the Fever series.

If you had to pick one place to vacation for the rest of your life, where would you choose?

I’d say it’s a tie between Maui and Costa Rica.

What scene in Beautifully Broken was your favorite to write?

Without giving anything away, there’s a scene towards the end where Kat demonstrates how much she’s grown since meeting Gavin. I think her transformation was a beautiful thing to witness.

Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?

My inner geek flag is flying with this one: “Do or do not. There is no try.” Yes, folks that is a Yoda quote. I really think it can apply to almost anything in life though.

Laura Lee is the author of the new book Beautifully Broken
