What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Demons Also Dream: Summoned?
I was pretty angry about being cast as a scapegoat when Fury Azazel first came to me. A year later, it turns out she saved my life (more about that coming in book two).

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?
I started out reading Stephen King from an inappropriately young age and wrote horror for many, many years before wandering into sci-fi and fantasy. After this year, it seems I'm happily settling into dark fantasy and supernatural suspense.
What books are on your TBR pile right now?
"Mexican Gothic" by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
What scene in your book was your favorite to write?
As usual, I loved writing all the fight scenes, but my favorite chapter was Fury's hunting party breaking through the restroom mirror at the turnpike travel plaza. The dynamic between those three demons flowed so naturally; it was a pleasure to write.
Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)
I used song playlists to tap emotional depths of my characters. I also cast them all as crystals, then arrange their stones on an altar to track their stories as I draft. Tarot cards get involved. It's a "whole thing." *gestures widely*
Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?
Maybe not so much in words, but I have a huge "Om" symbol as my wallpaper on my laptop. That about sums it up.
If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?
Don't take life (or my stories) so seriously, nobody gets out alive.
