What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Yesterday's Paper (The Knocknashee Story Book 2)?

It is book two in a series set during world war 2 involving a friendship between and Irish woman and an American man though letters.

The Nearness of You - Glenn Miller

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I love thrillers, but historical fiction will always have my heart.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

So many - I'm just starting The Dinner Guest, and just finished The Four Winds, listening to the Seven sisters by Lucinda Reilly on audio,

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

I loved writing the character of Pippa.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I write in a glass office in my garden so i'm surrounded by nature which is lovely. But I write often late at night, or in the early hours. I got into that habit when i worked full time as a teacher and wrote on the side.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

The overwhelming majority of people are basically good and kind everywhere, and we all want the same thing: to be safe and comfortable...but that doesn't sell newspapers.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

We have far more in common as human beings than things that divide us, regardless of gender, geography, social class etc.

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Luke's Apocalypse: Kate's Story?

My time in the Military, and my German Shepherd, Archie.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Luke's Apocalypse: Kate's Story, what would they be?

For Jonah, the Army Ranger Hero: "Higher", by Creed.

For Sophia, the teenage heroine: "Keep Holding On", by Avril Lavigne.

And for Kate, the main Character in Book 2, it would have to be: "Hero", by Mariah Carey

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Post Apocalyptic Survival Fiction.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Edge of Collapse Series - By Kyla Stone.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

It's the scene when Jonah describes to Sophia his feelings of darkness when he was a combat soldier, but then realized he was really a soldier for God, fighting for good in this world. He's trying to reach Sophia when she questions what's happening around them and how God could let it all happen. She soon realizes she is one of God's soldiers too. Jonah's and Sophia's bond becomes solidified here.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

Definitely! I have to have my Airpods in - with good music in my ears, I need my German Shepherd Best friend next to me, and a warm cup of coffee to sip while I write.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

To always be true to myself and to do my best to stay in God's light.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Well, I hope it's that I tell a great story, and to follow me and read my future releases.
