With explosive consequences.

Book 4 in the Mortice series, ‘Mortice: Hammer Down’ is released in October, with plans for 2 per year for the next three years. Ten books in total.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Yes action thrillers!

Currently reading Tim Tigner’s Twisted Lives. With Harlen Coben, Lee Goldberg, AJ Wilton (Book 4😊) & Vince Milam all waiting.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The car chase & the finale! I always try to ensure there are ‘pinch points’ that bring tears – both sad and happy!

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

Nope. I run two growing businesses, so squeeze in some writing whenever I get a chance! (Sleep is overrated!)

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

‘Why walk when you can run!’

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

I hope they remember it as a ‘good rollicking yarn’ and that they are disappointed when they read ‘The End’!

I write in a glass office in my garden so i'm surrounded by nature which is lovely. But I write often late at night, or in the early hours. I got into that habit when I worked full time as a teacher and wrote on the side.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

The overwhelming majority of people are basically good and kind everywhere, and we all want the same thing, to be safe and comfortable. But that doesn't sell newspapers,.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

We have far more in common as human beings than things that divide us, regardless of gender, geography, social class etc.

Interview with John Wegener, Author of Lunar Rift (Solar Dawn Book 1)

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Lunar Rift (Solar Dawn Book 1)?

I originally wrote the Reach for the Stars series set in the near future, but it has many speculative events and inventions. I wanted to reduce the speculation to conceivable scientific development in the next 100-150 years or so. Solar dawn is based on this premise.

Science fiction. Yes!

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Light Bringer by Pierce Brown, Helliconia by Brian Aldiss, Revelation Space by Alistair Reynolds.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Nothing is impossible, but miracles take a little longer.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

The enduring drive of humanity to survive.

Interview with Maeve Garner, Author of Perfect Bride

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Perfect Bride?

Someone near and dear to my heart was in an abusive relationship at the time I started dreaming up the storyline for Perfect Bride. Like Everleigh, my friend was strong and brave. She left the abusive situation and sought help. Like Dan, the man harassed her, but my friend continued to take the necessary steps to eradicate him from her life. My friend is now in a very healthy relationship with a wonderful man who sees her worth and treats her like a queen. As authors, our writing often reflects our life at the moment, and that's how Perfect Bride came to be. In keeping with the high school sweethearts and second chance romance theme of the Sweet Reunion Series, I made Jonah and Everleigh high school sweethearts and their reunion a memorable one, as with all of the books in the series.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I love contemporary romance. It's my favorite genre to read and also the genre I write. I do occasionally read historical romance or paranormal romance.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Beating Heart by Laura Pavlov, Seven Summers by Paige Toon, and Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez are at the top of my pile.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

I absolutely loved writing the scenes with Jonah and his brothers, my favorite being the scene where Jonah's tires get slashed. I know. One would think my favorite scene of the book would involve Jonah and Everleigh, the main characters, but the relationship dynamics between Jude, Russ, and Jonah are so typical of brothers. They irritate each other and bicker endlessly yet they're fiercely loyal. I just love it.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I have a lovely office, but never write at my desk. I write books sitting in my favorite chair in the living room with at least one fur baby on my lap.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

"Life is short. Be fearless. Work hard. Pursue your dreams." If there is something you want in life, go after it. Fear of failure destroys more dreams than anything else. We're given one life and endless opportunities. Take those opportunities, work hard, and don't let fear stop you. I live by this motto. If I didn't, I wouldn't have made it this far as a writer and author.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

We read romance books for a variety of reasons: entertainment, an escape into another world, the emotional investment in the book characters and their story, the hope a love story imparts, or the happily ever after. Whatever reason you chose for reading Perfect Bride, I am so grateful you did, and I hope you enjoyed Jonah and Everleigh and their story.
