Interview with Bianca Lee Ward, Author of Axle (WAR BROTHERS MC Book 1)

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Axle (WAR BROTHERS MC Book 1)?

It is the first instalment of the series, but the fourth book released. I had so many readers wanting Axle and Elena’s story, so I went back and wrote it.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Axle (WAR BROTHERS MC Book 1), what would they be?

"Wicked Game" by Grace Carter, "The Death of Peace of Mind" by Bad Omens, "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift, "Sexy and I Know It" by  LMFAO, and "Spine" by WesGhost.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I don't have a favorite - I like all. I mainly write Motorcycle Club romance.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

I'd like to get stuck into Legacy of Gods by Rina Kent.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

Elena's first encounter with Axle, as well as the epilogue.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

No, but caffeine is a must.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Treat others how I would like to be treated.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Everyone deserves love.

Interview with Adolfo Gomez Sanchez, Author of The Optimal Performance Formula

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Optimal Performance Formula?

Millions of people are chasing ambitious dreams, be that becoming a professional athlete, a famous performer, or a market leading company, yet most never make it as far as they would like. Sadly, this leaves them feeling powerless to choose and shape their own lives. I wanted people to know that it doesn’t have to be that way! In my 30+ years as a performance mentor to professional athletes and leading corporations, I’ve leveraged the research of leaders in performance science to decode what has the greatest impact on performance and I’ve modelled it in an actionable formula

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of The Optimal Performance Formula, what would they be?

"Never Surrender" by Corey Hart.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Non fiction, especially around the science of performance and human potential. Yes, it's the same.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Breathe by James Nestor and Endure by Alex Hutchinson.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

Hard to pick one. Probably the coaching case studies, as they're based on real clients and writing them brought back some very valuable and important memories and lessons.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I tend to write late at night, when my son's asleep and I don't get many client calls. This is the only moment I can get 3 or 4 hours straight to focus and get into flow.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Impossible just means no one has done it....YET!

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

The message I want the audience to understand viscerally, as well as cognitively, is that people are able to achieve much more than they ever thought, but great dreams require a long-term commitment to focused work, sustained over an extended period.

Interview with Natalie Shpet, Author of In Still Waters

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write In Still Waters?

In my youth I wrote scripts for school plays, and my literature teacher said that I had immense talent and should write my own book. To be honest, I took it as a joke and nothing more. However, in 2023, when my husband and I watched films (I won’t reveal the titles; I want readers to piece together this puzzle over time...I can only say that Jonathan Rhys Meyers starred in one of the films while Jake Gyllenhaal starred in the other). That’s why I dedicated my book “In Still Waters” to them! Thanks to Jake, my character Toby Clark was born, and thanks to Jonathan, Milosh Dobrev came to life.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I don't have a favorite genre; I prefer to read in different ones. However, even after rereading many books, my all-time favorites remain: "The Great Gatsby," "Dracula," "To Kill a Mockingbird," and "Anna Karenina."

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Currently, on my reading list are "An American Tragedy," "Wuthering Heights," and "1984."

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The birthday scene of Toby Clark.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

Usually, when I write, I imagine a movie in front of me. I get so immersed in the story that I laugh and cry along with my characters.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

"If you have decided to act, close the doors to doubt." © Friedrich Nietzsche

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

I would like readers to understand the deep message of the book, how it reveals the essence of humanity, and how things could be different if people learned to live differently.

Interview with b.t. gottfred, Author of The Next God

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Next God?

This idea has been taking up a large place in my head for 25 years. But, like my character, it took my dog dying 2 years ago to inspire me to actually write it.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I love mysteries and have finally started writing them, although THE NEXT GOD is not a traditional one, I do believe there's both a literal and spiritual one at its core.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Re-reading some Agatha Christie as inspiration for my next book WEST OF DEATH.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The second to last chapter called WORLDS... I think it will be the readers favorite to read, too.

Whatever search you are on for spiritual and personal truth, is a worthy one.

Interview with Guney Sokullu, Author of The Shudder

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write The Shudder?

This began as a screenplay, but I decided to bring it to life in written format. The book contains four distinct philosophical concepts woven throughout. While writing, my primary goal was to encode these messages for the readers.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

I love the dystopian genre, but aside from that, I'm an eager student of philosophy.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

Homo Ludens (Johan Huizinga), Antifragile (Nassim Nicholas Taleb).

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The scene where Melanie, Sandra's best friend, pays her a visit. That's the key scene of the book.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I love to write in various libraries.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

Happiness is temporary. However, you still can define goals to be happy.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

The wind will wind up ll our misery. This is a Koan.

Interview with Donell Jackson, Author of Replenishment

What's the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Replenishment?

I love Sci-Fi, but most of the stories weere about aliens who came to take over our planet. I wanted to write something different, something showing what it takes to survive in a world way more advanced than ours. Survival doesn’t always have to come at the cost of our world. It can be certain pieces put into play, to guarantee that a species lives on. Just like we have adapted in our world to survive, so have other species.

If you had to pick theme songs for the main characters of Replenishment, what would they be?

The Pacific- Honor Soundtrack.

What's your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Surprisingly, I’m not a big reader. I guess I don’t read much because I don’t want to pick up other writers’ traits or writing styles. My favorite genre to write is Fantasy because of the magic and dragons aspects. Just being able to create creatures, worlds, and the unexpected is a feeling like no other.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

I would like to read the "Game of Thrones" series. Haven't gotten to it yet though, because I'm always busy working on new projects.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

My favorite scene was when Jimmys friends were looking for him and they ran across one of the alien creatures who was deformed from coming in contact with our world's cold. They saw something that was unexplainable, but were forced to deal with it head on only to find out that they were in a situation that they were not equipped or ready for.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

No matter what I'm writing, I like listening to R&B.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

"Your greatest achievement, is your greatest dream."

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

There is always something that is on greater level than your comprehension, so don’t be so quick to judge what you may not understand. Life is only life as long as you can live it.
