5 Favorite Women’s Fiction Blogs

Bloggers are an essential part of the online reading community, so we at NewInBooks have decided share some of our favorite online book bloggers with you every week!

Since summer is the perfect time to read Sophie Kinsella or Maria Semple on the beach with a pina colada (or pretending that the local community pool is on a remote island in Fiji—if novels taught us anything, it’s to be imaginative) our first round focuses on some of our favorite women’s fiction blogs.

  1. Chick Lit Plus

From the cute website design, the fun hashtag headings (it’s hard not to click on something labeled #perfectlyposh), and the books they feature, Chick Lit Plus is perfect for women who are searching for their next read.

  1. Books in the Burbs

Books in the Burbs had us hooked from the start—instead of using a 5-star rating on books, they use cupcakes instead. They also have interviews and guest posts with authors and giveaways. If you venture onto Books in the Burbs, you’ll not only be craving a new read, you’ll be craving a cupcake (or two) as well.

  1. Shelf Pleasure

The tagline for this blog is “A destination spot for women who love reading.” If you plan on a staycation this summer, Shelf Pleasure will transport you to some new bookish places.

  1. 5 Minutes for Books

A friendly website with a ton of options, 5 Minutes for Books does not disappoint. Not only do they have book reviews for women’s fiction, but they also review books turned into movies, audiobooks, children’s books, and more.

  1. She Reads

Not just a book review site, She Reads also has author interviews, book discussions, reading lists, and even a book club—and we love book clubs! The best part about them is that they have a fantastic network of other female book bloggers, so we know that She Reads is all about women supporting other women!
