What can you tell us about your new release, Token?

This story takes two damaged souls and brings them together. Retired boxer, Token Kane is a little lost after a few tragic incidents have changed the direction of his life. Harley Redbourne, struggling to survive since the death of her family, has finally hit rock bottom. When Token’s boss hires him to bring Harley back to California, Token finds a broken woman who awakens a need in him to help her. Trapped in a life without love, Harley is surprised by the connection she feels to Token. As they fight their attraction, both find a friend in each other and for the first time, these broken souls share their darkest secrets. TOKEN is book one of five new shameless, sexy and daring brothers who will make you blush all over!

What is your favorite fictional character from literature?

I mostly read romance novels and there are a few great fictional characters out there that are worth mentioning. However, when I write, I tend to favor the male’s side of the story in their POV. To be honest, they’re just so fun to write! But anyone who knows me knows that I’m a superhero junkie. My all-time favorite fictional character would be Wolverine from then X-Men. He’s such a beautiful beast with a huge heart and now they’ve made him into a father. I love it and it also doesn’t hurt that the character is played by Hugh Jackman!

What books are currently on your nightstand?

I wish that I could say I have physical books on my nightstand but it’s used to store other fun things. Now, my eReader holds quite a few books that I’m dying to read when I acquire some much needed me time. Going Down Hard by Carly Phillips, The Play Mate by Kendall Ryan, and The Billionaire by Jessica Bird (aka J.R. Ward) are just a few lying in wait for my eyes to devour.

You’re hosting a literary dinner party. Which three writers are invited?

J.R. Ward, Steven King and MJ Fields. Could you imagine?

Pretend you qualified for the Olympics. What sport would you compete in?

I’m from the Buffalo area and while we get a lot of snow here, I dislike the cold. Therefore, no winter sports for this girl. I’m not a great swimmer, so those kinds of sports would be out as well. When I was young, after school, my dad and I would go jogging. We’d sprint the last mile. It was the best part of the run, like the rush that I get when I’m nearing the end of a book and everything magically comes together. Hence, my qualifying sport would most likely be the Women’s Marathon.

Who was your childhood hero?

I’d have to say there were five; mom, dad, my older sister and two younger brothers. Each family member showed me unconditional love, challenged me and, through the years, proved to me that no matter how different we all might be each of us is special in our own unique ways.

What scene in Token for It was your favorite to write?

My favorite scenes to write in any of my books are the ones that would require a “spoiler alert” when writing a review, those turning points and aha revealing moments! Token has a few of those moments. When my story brings a tear to my eye (even after reading and reviewing it for the trillionth time) I know that I might have accomplished my ultimate goal to have the reader not only read my book but feel it as well.

Do you have a motto, quote or philosophy you live by?

My personal fun motto is “Bad boys, give ’em a little time and experience, and they will evolve into misbehaving men!” But another saying that I like to live by is “The words you speak today should be soft and tender… for tomorrow you may have to eat them.”
