Interview with E.W.Johnson M.D., Author of Mediary

What’s the story behind the story? What inspired you to write Mediary?

To question whether miracles are purely random or guided by design.

What’s your favorite genre to read? Is it the same as your favorite genre to write?

Mystery-drama, but only when based in reality.

What books are on your TBR pile right now?

When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi.

What scene in your book was your favorite to write?

The first meeting between Dr. St. Clair and Kaitlin, the young girl in hospice care.

Do you have any quirky writing habits? (lucky mugs, cats on laps, etc.)

I write from 7:30 to 2:00 am with a feral cat supervising from a nearby chair.

Do you have a motto, quote, or philosophy you live by?

There are only two things you can do in life: act, or react. It’s really that simple.

If you could choose one thing for readers to remember after reading your book, what would it be?

Miracles happen around us every day, and they are not always merely coincidence.
